One-page invitation
Formal dinner invitation
The Meridian Society's invitation gives a small, formal sheet an exact size and a carefully composed typographic rhythm.
Highlighted features
Exact 5 × 7 inch page
@page defines the exact 5 × 7 inch sheet with zero margins; the invitation supplies its own inner padding.
Locally loaded display and body fonts
@font-face loads local Bodoni Moda and EB Garamond files for a display title and quieter body details.
Pseudo-element frame and SVG clock
Two CSS pseudo-elements draw the double frame, while a local clock SVG adds an ornament without flattening the invitation text.
How the layout works
The @page rule declares an exact 5 × 7 inch sheet with zero margins. The invitation element creates its own interior padding, so the pseudo-element double frame sits inside the trim rather than being clipped. Flexbox distributes the society name, occasion, event details, and footer vertically.
Local Bodoni Moda and EB Garamond font faces establish the contrast between the display title and the quieter details. The clock drawing is an SVG in the source directory. Because the text remains HTML, dates and venue details can be changed without editing artwork.
