Three-page memorandum
Company memorandum
Alder Quay Works explains a change to its field-kit handoff process through a memo built for people who need to act on it.
Highlighted features
First-page exception to running headers
@page margin boxes repeat the memo header on later sheets, while @page :first suppresses it where the opening letterhead already appears.
Headings kept with following text
break-after: avoid on section headings keeps each heading with the text that follows it.
Decision cards and schedule rows kept intact
break-inside: avoid protects decision cards and schedule rows from splitting across a page boundary.
How the layout works
This memo uses @page margin boxes for the organization name, memo reference, illustrative notice, and page count. The @page :first rule removes the top running header on the opening page, where the full letterhead already appears.
Each .memo-page section begins a new sheet through break-before: page. That creates a deliberate three-page sequence: decision, rollout and ownership, then handoff checklist and exceptions. Section headings use break-after: avoid to stay with the following text. Decision cards and HTML schedule rows use break-inside: avoid so their contents stay together. Local fonts and their licenses travel with the source.
