PrecisionPDF documentation
Build documents with HTML and CSS. Generate the PDF from a script, a background job, or your application.
Make your first PDF
Start with the getting-started guide. It includes installation, a complete HTML document, and examples for the command line, Rust, and Python.
Choose an integration
- Command line — Convert files and URLs, add stylesheets, set resource paths, and diagnose a rendering problem.
- Rust — Render files or HTML strings and write PDFs to a file or memory from async application code.
- Python — Use the
HTMLinterface to generate PDFs from files or strings, with control over where assets are loaded.
Prepare for deployment
Package the renderer, document fonts, and assets with your application. Read about document handling before deciding where to process documents.
Author documents for print
Set page dimensions and margins with @page, use semantic HTML for content, and keep document assets together. PrecisionPDF renders HTML and CSS without executing JavaScript; render templates and dynamic data to HTML before conversion.
The free core generates plain PDFs. PDF/A and PDF/UA conformance are separate requirements; ordinary PDF output should not be treated as proof of either.
